I get the idea that most of the members here are public librarians, but I know y'all will send a little love to your school librarians when you hear this about this mofo principal.

I work at a middle school library and am mentoring a new librarian at a neighboring middle school. She has had much difficulty getting any response from her administration about her many concerns, the first of which is why, six weeks into the school year, they still haven't hired a library aide for her.

She finally lands a meeting with el principal and outlines her concerns as well as her plans for the library program. The first thing he tells her? "The main priority of the library is as a meeting space for district and faculty functions. When we don't have anything scheduled, then you can schedule classes and have students come in for check out."

WTF? Can I just go beat him with some Keith Curry Lance study or something? GRRRR!!
